Benefits of HHA
Comfort and security
Your loved one can continue to live in a secure and comfortable environment without the hassle of relocating to a family member’s home or an assisted living facility.
Familiar surroundings and routines
Your loved one can maintain their routines—from watching TV in a favorite chair to individual mealtime preferences to nightly neighborhood strolls—in familiar surroundings.
Lower cost
Home care costs are usually lower than 24/7 assisted living or nursing home care rates. Additionally, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and senior communities often require a large, up-front cash deposit — and there may be a lengthy waiting list to move in.
Flexibility
Care Helpers, LLC allows you to customize the care schedule and receive help when needed to avoid paying for unnecessary services and amenities.
Companionship
Professional caregivers provide companionship and social interaction, which can reduce the risk of social isolation, depression, and anxiety. A professional caregiver can also encourage your loved one to stay connected to friends and relatives through FaceTime, Zoom, or other platforms as well as facilitate in-person visits.
Reduced risk of falls, injuries, and household accidents
Care Helpers' caregivers are trained in fall prevention and will take precautions to help your loved one stay safe at home. A personal home care worker can also decrease the risk of accidents in injury-prone places, such as the kitchen and bathroom.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
-
How do you select your caregivers?
We put our caregivers through a comprehensive screening process before our company hires them. Each caregiver is given a one-on-one interview so that we can learn everything about their background and their future ambitions. Most importantly, our caregivers must pass a drug test and criminal background check.
-
Do I need a certified caregiver?
You only need a certified caregiver if they are going to give you medical-related care. You don't need a certified caregiver for basic services like housekeeping, transportation, and cooking. But if the caregiver is going to administer medication, bathe you or help you with your physical therapy, then they need to be certified.
-
Can I change the schedule if I have appointments?
Absolutely. Simply give us a call and let us know about the change in your schedule. We will accommodate your scheduling needs without any issues.
-
